Sales season is coming, and it’s better to start preparation sooner to get the best exposure. As Blogger or Influencer, you may want to create a deal submission form to gather top discounts and share them with your subscribers.

In this guide, I’ll show how to create a free deal submission form in WordPress.

To proceed, you need the free JetFormBuilder plugin to be installed and activated.

install free jetformbuilder plugin

Step 1. Add New Form

Go to the JetFormBuilder section and press Add New to create a new form.

Step 2. Add the Form Fields You Need

To make the form more readable, I’ll use Gutenberg columns and place fields in the columns:

I’ve added:

  • Text area fields for Name, Email address, Company title, Link to the banner, Coupon code, and Comments.
  • Radio field to choose the product category.
  • Datetime fields for start & finish dates.

Also, please note that some fields I’ve marked as required. For this, toggle the Is Required option:

I also wanted to add some explanation to several fields. There are two ways to do this:

  1. Using Placeholder. Go to Block > Advanced settings > Placeholder > Add explanation text.

Then, the text will be shown inside the form field, and the user can pass their text.

2. Via Input Description. You’ll find the input description right after the form field. And it’ll be shown accordingly.

Step 3. Configure Post Submit Action

There are two actions I want to add to the form:

  1. Save Form Record — to save all submissions in the dashboard.

2. Send Email — receive an email with submitted information to avoid missing anything.

Press Publish.

You are welcome to customize additional JetForm settings, which you can find in the right menu, including Captcha, Preset Settings, and General Messages Settings.

Step 4. Add WordPress Form to the Page

Now we need to add the form where we want. For this, press + and find JetForm block.

Choose the form we’ve created:

Then, you’ll see your form on your page, where you can configure additional settings: required mark, submit form type, etc.

If you want to style your WordPress form, I recommend using free JetStyleManager for Gutenberg.

Step 5. Testing Time

My favorite one.😁 I’ve filled up the form, and let’s see what we have in the result.

Firstly, I’ve received the email with all the submitted details:

send form submission via email

Secondly, I can check the deal submission in the clean Form Records dashboard.

Then, I can open the form record to see the information:

Conclusion

I hope this tutorial will be helpful not only this Black Friday but any time you want to let your users submit any information you need.
